Message From Heather: We’re Celebrating Spring!
Spring is finally in the air and that means Bootcamp in the Arb, new Pole classes, outdoor seating and our free smoothie day coming up May 16th!
I’m also excited about our big new Lululemon shipment, which we’ll have on sale the first week in April. You’ll rarely see this quality athletic wear for 25% off anywhere other than Vie, and we now have more men’s clothing than ever.
We’ve also expanded our Pilates studio with new equipment for more variety, and if you’ve missed out on Pole Dancing because it was full, we start a new session this month.
There’s a lot to tell you about, so read on and take advantage of our Spring celebrations!

Bootcamp in the Arb Begins Week of May 10
Bootcamp in the Nichols Arboretum is a great way to start the day. Personal Trainer Shelby Norment is a ball of energy and will make working out at 6 am fun, with a strength and cardio circuit down the paths and trails in the Arb.
We’re offering two sessions, one starting May 10 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and the other on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting May 11. Each session runs for eight weeks and meets at the Geddes Road entrance to the Arb.
We begin at 6:00 a.m. sharp, (get there at least five minutes early,) and we end at 6:45. The Monday, Wednesday, Friday session is $360 and the Tuesday, Thursday session is $288.
We need payment in advance to reserve your spot, so stop in or call us at 665-2156 to pay by credit card. Sign up by April 15 and get 15% off the price!

New Pole Dancing Sessions Begin April 26
We have only a few spots left in our new Pole Dancing sessions on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 to 9:15 pm and Fridays from 6:15 - 7:30 pm.
These classes are one time a week and use a lot of upper body strength and dance moves around the poles. They require only an open-mindedness to have fun while getting a great workout!
Only three people per class allows for plenty of personal attention. Each session is $210 for six weeks. We request full payment to reserve your spot. To sign up, call us at 665-2156.

Smoothie of the Month: Morning Kick
Let our cool, refreshing Morning Kick smoothie replace the hot coffee after your workout. Made with instant Starbucks espresso, low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt, ice and skim milk, our Morning Kick will wake you up and cool you off at the same time. Try one in April for 15% off the price.
Salad of the Month: Pineapple Sun
Our newest salad features a delicious pineapple vinaigrette made with fresh mint, white balsamic vinegar and just a touch of olive oil. Poured over fresh mixed greens, grated carrots, brown rice, sunflower seeds, golden raisins, cucumbers, grilled chicken and crumbled goat cheese, this salad is slightly sweet, tangy, crunchy and filling.
Of course, it’s under 400 calories with the right balance of fats, protein and carbs according to our nutritionist. We’ll feature this salad all month, along with our usual daily rotating salads.
Recipe of the Month: Banana Coconut Walnut Cookies
These little cookies are healthy enough for a quick breakfast, but delicious enough for a treat, and easy to make. The bananas provide a lot of the sweetness, so only a bit of maple syrup is needed.
- 2 very ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup oats
- 2/3 cup whole wheat flour (or brown rice flour for gluten-free)
- 1/4 t. baking soda
- 1/2 cup unsweetened dried coconut
- pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
- Preheat oven to 350. In a medium bowl, combine bananas, oil, syrup and vanilla.
- In separate medium bowl, combine oats, flour, baking soda, coconut and salt.
- Add banana mixture to dry ingredients and blend until just combined (do not over stir.) Fold in walnuts.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper and drop batter by heaping teaspoons onto sheet. Bake 14 minutes, or until lightly browned. Place on wire rack to cool. Makes about 18 cookies.
